Horse riding experience is perfect for nature-lovers who are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Our location is far away from the city, providing a peaceful and tranquil environment. We welcome each client as an individual and offer them the opportunity to participate in the care and harnessing of their horses.
We start by getting to know each other and the horses in their own herd
Our horses live together in a yard and are used to different people and situations. Most of our horses are Finnhorses, the traditional and only horse breed of Finland. Our horses are part of our herd and we work together with them, respecting their opinions. They usually come to greet our guests already at the gate. You can groom and equip your own horse for riding. Our guide helps and instructs in everything necessary and guarantees safety on our trip. After the equipment, we set off peacefully in line, and our journey towards breathtaking landscapes has begun!
Our journey takes us along forest trails, and during that time we may see signs of forest animals
If we're lucky, we might catch a glimpse of a reindeer herde. Many different animals live in Finnish forests, such as reindeer, hares, foxes and moose. The forest is their home, and we Finns respect the forest and its animals.
The horse riding continues in versatile and partly challenging terrain. When we reach the top of the hill, we take a short break and can admire the breathtaking scenery. At the same time, we give our horses a little break after a steep climb. At this point, we are halfway through the tour. After the break, our journey continues back towards our homestead.
After the ride we head to the hut on our farm, where a warm and atmospheric campfire awaits us
The hut's benches are lined with reindeer antlers, and in the middle of the fire pit there is a wonderfully warming campfire. We get to enjoy grilled sausage, pastries and drink a cup of hot coffee or tea. Together we enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the hut and listen to the guide's stories about the Finnish nature and Finns' connection with brave and loyal Finnhorses.
